The 2009 MBA 3-D Championships Tournament was hosted by Attala Bowhunters Archery Club at Sallis, MS and was held July 18/19, 2009. The Mississippi Bowhunters Association Officers and Directors would like to thank the Attala Bowhunters Archery Club Staff for organizing and hosting the 2009 MBA 3-D Championships Tournament.

Highlights of the 2009 MBA State Championships 3-D Tournament

Before the official competition began, all the participants spent some time on the practice range to be absolutely sure that their bows were tuned and properly sighted for the best possible accuracy for the day's competition.

After all the competition was completed over the 2 days of shooting, the scores were tallied and the winners in each of the 15 categories were announced. All the winners are pictured above with their respective awards and trophies. Congratulations for a job well done!.

Pictured above is Joey Regan taking careful aim at a mature buck down range. In the background (L to R) are Jonathan Regan and George Fielder. Joey is concentrating on the 10 ring (or perhaps the 12 ring).

Above is (L to R) is Jonathan Regan, George Fielder, and Joey Regan. After the shots were taken and the arrows were scored, it is apparant that these three shooter were pleased with their shot placements on this ol' buck.

 

Brittany Fancher is concentrating on her sight pins as she aims for the vitals (and the 10 ring) on a standing Axis buck downrange. Watching In the background are (L to R) Lee Fancher, Bill Tolbert, Lewis Henry and Phil Fancher.

The shooters scored their arrows and paused for a moment to demonstrate how well they scored. Congratulations on superb arrow placement!

 

Jeremy James remains motionless as he centers the appropriate sight pin on the vital area of a bedded buck downrange. Watching intently in the background are (L to R) Terry Baker, Barry Burk and Billy Turner.

 

This bedded buck called for a steep downhill shot and the shot placement was a bit tricky but these seasoned archers were able to master proper shot placement. From (L to R) are Billy Turner, Jeremy James, Barry Burk and Terry Baker.

Will Blair remains at full draw as he aims and hopes to place his arrow in the vitals of the down range McKenzie coyote target. Patiently waiting and watching in the background (L to R) is Shane Thomas and Adam Lee.

 

Shane Thomas, Adam Lee and Will Blair (L to R) nailed this McKenzie 3-D target. Nice scoring fellows!
