Below are Images of Bow-Harvested Animals from the 2009-2010 Bowhunting Season
(Page 8)

Pictured above (top) is MBA Member/Area Director Brandel Russell (on the right) of Collinsville MS. Brandel killed his 130 class 12 point on Oct. 1st at 5:45 pm @ 22 yds in Lauderdale County. The shot placement was a double lung shot and his deer traveled approximately. 70 yards after the shot. Equipment used included a BowTech Captain ,GoldTip Pro Hunter arrows, a Meat-Seeker broadhead and a Carter Sensation release . The deer was 4 1/2 years old and his live weight was 187 lbs. Pictured on the left of Brandel is Jason Parker (who was bowhunting with Brandel). Jason took a nice mature 8 point on opening day as well. It appears that both bucks were still in velvet when they were taken on opening day of the 2009 season. Pictured below Brandel and Jason is a trail camera image captured in September, 2009 of Brandel's fine 12 point buck. Brandel apparantly knew this fine buck was living in the area as he captured him on his trail camera before the season opened. I can't remember ever having witnessed 2 quality mature bucks being taken on opening morning by 2 friends bowhunting together.Congratulations Brandel and Jason on taking such fine mature animals on opening morning of the 2009 season and thanks for sharing your bowhunting experience with our bowhunting community.
