Below are Images of Bow-Harvested Animals from the 2009-2010 Bowhunting Season
(Page 3)

Above( left to right) is MBA Member Ben Carver of Starkville, MS, pictured with his opening day doe that he took on the 1st day's evening bowhunt of the 2009-2010 bow season. Ben was hunting in Oktibbeha County and took a 22 yard shot achieving a heart/lung shot and his doe only traveled ~80 yards before going down. Ben was shooting a Mathews Solocam Legacy bow and GoldTip 5575 arrows tipped with a Magnus 100 grain Snuffer SS broadhead. Ben's sight was a Truglo fiberoptic sight system.

The picture on the right is Ben (L to R) with his brother (Jesse) with Jesse's doe taken the same afternoon. Pictured between Jesse and Ben is 'Cricket'. Below is Ben's own words describing the great bowhunting experience that he and Jesse (and Cricket) shared together on opening afternoon.

"It was a good opening afternoon to this bowseason, not because I shot a mature doe, but because my brother (Jesse Carver) harvested his first deer ever with a bow.  We have another hunter in the brotherhood!  Both does were successfully tracked and recovered with "Cricket", owned by Jeff Williams of Starkville, MS."

Congratulation Ben and Jesse on having a 'double' on opening afternoon and thanks for sharing your great bowhunting experience with our bowhunting community.
