Below are Images of Bow-Harvested Animals from the 2009-2010 Bowhunting Season
(Page 22)

Pictured above is Mississippi Bowhunters Association member Ken Pugh of Flora, MS with his mature quality 9 point whitetai he took on 12-23-2009 while bowhunting near Flora, MS. Congratulations Ken and thanks for sharing your good fortune with our bowhunting community. Below is Ken's accounting of his bowharvest of this fine whitetail.

"Christmas came early this year for Madison County Bowhunter Ken Pugh of Flora ,Ms.

I was hunting a food plot on the evening of Dec. 23, 2009 when this nice 9 Point came in on the trail of a hot doe. I had to do a Vocal Grunt with my mouth to stop him, and he stopped at about 30 yards. I made the shot with my Hoyt Vectrix using my Easton Epic arrows with a two-bladed rage broadhead. He jumped two fences on his way to escape back to thick cover but he only made it about 100 yards from where I shot him. He had 9 points and a 16 Inch Spread he seemed to be at Least 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old, and he weighed 200 pounds at the time of harvest.

This Buck had a lot of mass on his horns so he should make the Pope and Young Book and I figure he will score in the Mid 130's.

Good Hunting and Lots of Luck to All."
