Pictured above is Swayze Bozeman (son of MBA member Harvery Bozeman) of Flora, MS with his 6 point whitetail buck he took recently (1/2/2010) while bowhunting near Flora, MS (Bozeman Farms).

Swayze got this 6 point on an evening hunt Saturday Jan. 2nd. He was being videoed by Shane Easterling of Dogwood Outdoor Ministries. Due to circumstances beyond their control they were not able to capture the shot on video. However, Shane said that it was a perfect shot. Swayze was using his Bear/Primos Truth II young guns bow with a goldtip 35/55 and a Muzzy MX3 100 grain broadhead. The shot distance was 25 yards and the deer traveled about 70 yards before it expired. Swayze Bozeman Flora, MS

Congraulations Swayze on taking another fine whitetail . Swayze was able to harvest a spike and 2 other does earlier during the season (when Swayze was still 10 years old). Swayze turned 11 on Nov. 2nd, 2009. Swayze was awarded the Mississippi Bowhunters Association's 'YOUNGEST BOWHUNTER OF THE YEAR AWARD' for the 2008/2009 season. Swayze is in the running to be the first 2 time winner of this award. Thanks Swayze for sharing your good fortune with our bowhunting community and congratulations on a job well done.
