Below are Images of Bow-Harvested Animals from the 2009-2010 Bowhunting Season
(Page 19)

Pictured above is Swayze Bozeman (son of MBA member Harvery Bozeman) of Flora, MS with his mature whitetail doe he took recently (12/29/2009) while bowhunting near Flora, MS (Bozeman Farms). Below is Swayze's own account of this memorable bowhunt with his dad:

"My daddy took me to a ladder stand we put up early in the year. I saw two deer come out and I knew they were shooters. Finally the doe and her yearling started coming. The doe jumped the fence, but the yearling didn’t. The doe saw me but right after that she looked over her shoulder. I drew ; she didn’t hear me and I shot her at ten yards. We blood trailed her for about 70 yards. When we found her we saw that my shot was high, but everything worked out."

Congraulations Swayze on taking another mature whitetail doe. Swayze was able to harvest a spike and another doe earlier during the season (when Swayze was still 10 years old). Swayze turned 11 on Nov. 2nd, 2009. Swayze was awarded the Mississippi Bowhunters Association's 'YOUNGEST BOWHUNTER OF THE YEAR AWARD' for the 2008/2009 season. Swayze is in the running to be the first 2 time winner of this award. Thanks Swayze for sharing your good fortune with our bowhunting community and congratulations on a job well done.
