Pictured above is Mississippi Bowhunters Association member Mike Summerlin of Fannin, MS with his quality 8 point whitetail he recently took (12/15/2009) while bowhunting Magna Vista Plantation at Fitler, MS (Issaquena County). Mike took a 30 yard shot and his buck traveled ~100 yards before going down. Mike's buck weighed 190 .lbs live weight and was judged to be 5 years old and green scored 132 P&Y inches. Mike's bowharvest experience was captured on video by Mississippi Outdoors staff member Scooter Whatley (pictured on the right of Mike in the picture on the right). Mike and Scooter's bowharvest footage is scheduled to be aired on Mississippi Outdoors in 2010.
