Steve Edwards (Mississippi Bowhunters Association Life Member) from Water Valley, MS. took this fine 13 point mule deer recently (9-2-2008) while hunting in Colorado. Steve's buck was arrowed in the evening and will score 196. The shot was 49 yards and the buck was recovered after 100 yards.

Steve's Alaskan brown bear was arrowed while hunting with Alaskan Outfitter Jamie Howell (a Mississippi native) on 9/6/2008. The hunt was in the evening and the shot was taken (spot/stalk) at a distance of 8 yards. Steve's brown bear went only 70 yards before expiring. Both of Steve's animals were taken with a Mathews Drenalin bow, Gold Tip Arrows using 125 grain Slick Trick Broadheads. Congratulations Steve on 2 fine animals and thanks for sharing them with our bowhunting community. This is a great way to get the season started.
