MBA Magazine Editor Dwayne Ensign from Pelahatchie, MS, took this great P&Y Nebraska whitetail on 10-15-2007 while hunting with Ash Creek Outfitters, NorthWest Nebraska near Chadron. Congratulation Dwayne on taking such a majestic animal and thanks for sharing your experience with our bowhunting community. Below are the details of Dwayne's harvest experience. Dwayne was hunting with his friend John Loper (also from Pelahatchie, MS) and John was also fortunate to take a quality whitetail (8 point with a 20 1/2 inch spread). 6) Conditions of Hunt: Morning, overcast, breezy, mid-40's, had just stopped raining.
7) Shot details: 30 yards qtr. away, double-lung. Deer ran 60 yards before stopping, standing and collapsing.
8) Live weight: 250 lbs.
9) 10 typical points, 18 1/2" inside spread, Green score 145" gross, 138" net. 4" of right G4 broken off
10) 4 1/2 years old (estimated)
11) Equipment: Matthews Switchback, Gold Tip 5575 with 4 - 2" vanes, 100 grain Wasp Boss broadhead.
