(Page 3)

MBA Life Member and MBA Web Master, Joe R. Bumgardner, M.D. used a Double Bull Archery "Matrix" ground blind to take this mature doe during the opening of the 2007 bow-season. The hunt took place in Noxubee County near Macon, MS. The blind was entered at 6:30AM on 10/02/2007 and the shot was taken @ 6:50AM. The shot was at 18 yards and produced an lung/gut/ham shot as the doe quartered toward the blind as the shot was fired. She produced an excellent blood trail and traveled ~ 125 yards. Archery equipment included a Diamond Black Ice bow and Gold Tip arrows tipped with a Magnus Snuffer 125 grain broadhead. Live weight was ~120 pounds. The Double Bull Archery Matrix ground blind was 'brushed-in' to match the environment and the deer absolutely had no fear of the ground blind even after they saw it. This offers another tool to taking deer at their level and offers a new dimension to bowhunting whitetail deer.
