Pictured above to the left is MBA Life Member/Area Director George Fielder from Benton, MS with his fine 8 point buck he took while bowhunting @ Hillside National Wildlife Refuge during the 2009 MBA Annual Deer/Hog hunt. Click here for George's account of his bow-harvest experience. Congratulations George on taking such a fine animal and sharing it with our bowhunting community.

Pictured above to the right is MBA immediate Past President/Area Director Steve Welch from Madison, MS with his fine wild boar he took while bowhunting @ Hillside National Wildlife Refuge during the 2009 MBA Annual Deer/Hog hunt. Steve took his fine boar on the Saturday morning hunt (October 10, 2009). Steve was bowhunting with his Adcock longbow set at 57# at 28" and was using a Zwickey broadhead. Steve's shot was judged to be 29 yards and he accomplished a double lung pass through shot. The boar only traveled 40 yards before he went down for good. The boar was estimated to weigh ~200 pounds. Congratulations Steve on taking such a fine animal and sharing it with our bowhunting community.

The Annual Mississippi Bowhunters Association Deer Hunt for 2011 will be combined with the 2011 Annual Hog Hunt.
