The winner of this year’s National Archery in Schools Program essay was Tyler Dillon of Tylertown, MS (pictured above with MBA President Jason Johnson). Tyler will be the recipient of a bowhunt sponsored and guided by NASP Mississippi chairperson Waldo Cleveland of Columbia, MS. Tyler was recognized at the 2008 Awards Banquet.

MBA President Jason Johnson (L) received an appreciation plaque presented by MBA Vice President Steve Welch (R). Jason was recognized for his service as President of the MBA for the past 2 years and for his continued and successful efforts and guidance in assisting the National Archery in Schools Program getting established in Mississippi. The Mississippi Bowhunters Association is an ongoing annual Supporter of the National Archery in Schools Program. This year the NASP in Mississippi has exceeded the 100 school participation including both private and public schools. The MBA is very greatful to have aided this great program to get started in Mississippi and looks forward to being a contined supporter of the NASP. The MBA is a NASP sponsor and donates $3,000.00 annually to the NASP as a continuing sponsor.
