MBA Bowhunter of the Year

For the MBA Bowhunter of the Year a very special hunt awaits. Dark Timber Outfitters of Colorado has donated a great hunt for this lucky member. This hunt takes place in the fall in the Colorado bow season in Uncompahgre National Forest, BLM and private land. Colorado's elk herd is at an all time high and this area is one of the state's most densely populated elk areas. Transportation and license will be the winners responsibility. The hunt takes place this fall and should the winner not be able go, the first runner-up will be the alternate winner of this hunt. To enter you must fill out the MBA Bowhunter of the Year form and forward it to: Joel Cunningham, P.O. Box 6, Inverness, MS 38753 Good luck and fill-out those forms.
Big Buck Contest
For the lucky member that has harvested the best scoring Mississippi buck in the 2007-2008 season, a very special hunt awaits the winner. Transportation and license will be the winners responsibility. The hunt takes place during the 2007-2008 season and should the winner not be able to go, the first runner-up will be the alternate winner of this hunt. The winner of this hunt will be the recipient of a 3 day, (6 hunt sessions) at Lee's Bend Hunting Club in Pickens County, Alabama. Lee's Bend is a 3000 acre parcel bordered by the Tennesse-Tombigbee Waterway. This special hunt will be hosted and guided by past MBA President Joe R. Bumgardner, M.D. All entries which qualify are also eligible for the Mississippi Bowhunting Record book. Be sure to get your entry to the MBA Secretary (Joel Cunningham, P.O. Box 6, Inverness, MS 38753) who will forward the information to the MBA Official Scorer, Corey Neill.
Youngest Bowhunter
This award is given each year to the youngest son or daughter of an MBA member harvesting a deer with bow and arrow during the previous season. To enter the contest the hunter must be age 12 or under. Both does and bucks are eligible for entry. Send a photo of the deer, the MBA members name and the youth's date of birth to the MBA Secretary/Treasurer:
